Wow It has been a long time again!

Hello everyone that follows this blog. I bet most of you have given up on seeing a new post from us since it has been 5 months since we have posted anything new but quite a bit has happened since then that I need to catch you up on. So Heidi Graduated from Utah State University with a Degree in Family Consumer Human Development in December. We then turned over our fun trailer that we lived in for four years to the university and moved in with my parents in huntsville. I started a new job in December Doing sales for a theatre Janitorial company in Ogden. I am loving my job!! While we were living at my parents we were looking to buy a house and we found one in North Ogden. We bought it and just moved in the first of april. We are loving the new house and things are going great. I hope to post some pictures soon.

I Love Halloween

I know I shouldn't get into Halloween as much as I do but this year I decided it is definetly one of my favorite Holidays, carving pumpkins, trick or treaty, and dressing up you can't beat this fun holiday. We did pumpkin carving a little early this year but all Bridger wanted to do with them is sit on them. It was so cute, he thought he was so smart by figuring out that they were the perfect size for him to sit on. Once we showed him what to do with the pumpkin he slowly but surely got into cleaning out and playing with the seeds and junk that is inside the pumpkin.

Since I love to dress up I decided it would be super fun to make my sister and her husband dress up with us. They live here in Logan so I was able to convince them to and also convince them to help with the making of the costumes, it worked out perfectly.

Trick or treating was so much fun this year. Bridger didn't know what to exactly think but he definitely knew what we were collecting. Everytime someone came to the door he would grin and not want to leave, he wanted to stay right there and eat the piece of candy that he received. So after a few houses we learned the trick of putting it into another bag so he would forget about it and look at everything else that was going on. This neighborhood was packed with children it was so fun to see the different costumes.

Back To Utah

Well we made it back to utah. It was a long drive back from pittsburgh but we did it and it feels great to be home. Heidi starts her last semester of college tomorrow so she can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. She is going to be super busy this semester so I am going to be the stay at home dad for a little while which will be fun cause bridger is so darn cute. He was so excited to see the toys that we had left home over the summer he just plays all day long.

moving to Pittsburgh

Well i know it has been a while since we updated our blog. It has been a busy time with work and heidi doing online classes and having family out here visiting us but we are doing well. We are going to be moving to pittsburgh to finish the summer there because rochester was just too small to keep us busy for the whole summer so we are going to get a fresh start there for a few more weeks before the summer ends. We have a ton of new pictures to share and videos of some of the things we were able to do here but I don't have time to post them and we won't have internet in pittsburgh so we will do a big post at the end of the summer with all that happened here. until then this will have to do.

5 New Discovery's that Bridger Loves

(ERIC DID NOT CORRECT THIS SO BEWARE....SORRY)
1. Empty cupboards
Coming out in one car was not so easy, leaving all the things we might need behind. However, it does have its benefits, not having alot of kitchen supplies we were able to leave all the bottom cupboards empty and Bridger soon found out that it is a fun place to play. This is what he does all day. Well, either this or walks around the kitchen wall all day. Our kitchen has two openings, one that connects to the family room and one that connects to the hallway. So he just walks around and around the same direction.

2. Popsicles
Bridger is so much like Eric it is amazing. As soon as Eric has got something Bridger is over begging for it. So coming back from the beach Eric decided to give Bridger one, as soon as we put it in his mouth he would not shut his mouth because it was so cold. After that one little taste he can't get enough. When the popsicle is gone he starts crying for more...(mmmmm) is what he does.

3. Sand

This was the first time we had Bridger play in the sand and he loved it. At first he tried to eat it and then as soon as he tasted it, we had no more problems with him eating it anymore. Since we were going to the beach we knew we just had to have some sand toys for him so we got a great deal at Toys R Us as Eric claims. But Bridger was not the only one that loved the toys these two boys kept fighting over the big shovel. Eric kept claiming it was to big for him but I know why he kept saying that because he wanted to dig with it....It was a beautiful and fun day to be at the beach. Eric kept digging holes and Bridger would climb in them and get really excited when Eric would dump water into them. (see video at the end of this post)

4. Tideus

One of the sales rep has the cutest dog. This little dog is just so chill and loved Bridger. Well when we were protectingTideus from Bridger squizzing him to tight. Anytime I was holding Tideus, Bridger came up with his arms out to hug the puppy. The only bad thing with this was that Bridger would wrap his arms around the neck (Second picture down) and the puppy didn't appreciate that to much.

5. Sundays with Daddy.

This past Sunday we got to go to a State Park, I can't remember the name of it but it also goes by the Grand Canyon of the East, funny huh? It was absoluty beautiful. It had three main waterfalls, beautiful spots to see the river down in the canyon, and green thick forests. Bridger loved this to, not so much the waterfalls but all the people and their dogs he got to watch. As well as walking with his dad down stairs, he would stumble down them and just giggle as they got to the next one.

Tried some new things, so don't get sick watching it.

ANOTHER WEEK...

So, we have made it through another week of summer sales. This past week....

We made a new friend. At first we thought he was a peeping tom looking through our bedroom window but he just wanted to be friends. This animal thing as I call it lives right outside our window and likes to come say hi about once a day. Bridger loves it but it truly freaks me out. He stands up like this and really looks in the window for about ten to fifteen minutes a day. One day I had the window open and that really freaked me out. Our window for some reason doesn't have a screen on so I was worried he was going to try to be our new pet. (Does anyone know what this is...(dad))





Bridger has learned that he loves to climb in and out of things, especially things he is not supposed to. This is my filing box that I keep all my paperwork in. He has learned to take of the lid and he can move the files out of the way and climb in and pretend like he is fishing or something. See the metal bar in his hand that is suppose to be holding the files this is his new favorite toy. He stands in the box and hits the floor with it. He also loves to carry it around and hit anything that gets in his way his toys, sales reps, techs, and what ever he might find.


I have learned what a Lilac is. Today we went to the Lilac Festival here in Rochester. It is suppose to be a pretty big event so we wanted to check it out. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the people here are so interesting. In this festival we got to see tons of lilac's, craft booths, mini rides, and people Eric tried to sale. Eric has the best memory as we walked around he started talking to someone that he had tried to sale. Most people wouldn't remember or feel silly talking to them again but not Eric he was trying to sale them again. Oh ya...one of the booths they had was for 4-H. It was a dog training program that the 4-H puts on. This was Bridger's favorite booth.
It had all sorts of dogs that Bridger loved to watch
as they raced the dogs on a course and did tricks.

As Eric was reading what I was about to post he started chuckling. So I asked him why he was laughing. When he says nothing that is the first hint that my southern ancient (accent(how would i live without him)) came out and I say something different. Okay it is really not the southern accent it just that I talk funny. So Smith's this is for you...Here is another word to add to the journal of words I say wrong. He just taught me that it is not exspecially it is just especially. Who would have thought...all these years and nobody has corrected me.

Rochester New York

After 32 hours of driving I would say we look pretty happy to have arrived in rochester ny at our new apartments. We are here for another funfilled summer of selling security systems.













Yep thats right bridger has hit a new milestone. About 2 weeks ago right before we left logan he started walking on his own. He enjoys his trip everyday from our apartment to the office where I do my work. We only live 2 buildings away from the office but with bridger always wanting to stop and explore everything it takes about 15 minutes to get there.
On this special day of walking home Bridger kept falling. Ever since he started walking he thinks he can conquer anything. So, he would walk up on the grass and it slants a little bit so he would fall everytime. By about the third time he was so mad that he had fallen again. Making his grumpy face trying to stand back up I couldn't help it all i could do was laugh. As soon as he saw me laughing he started to laugh. So now it has become a game he loves to make people laugh. So as soon as we both would stop laughing he would walk over to the grass and fall again and look at me for approval and start laughing.





Bridger always finds new things to play with at the office. I bring lots of toys there for him but what he finds there is what he enjoys most. He pushed it, climbed on top and in the box keeping him occupied for an hour as I worked. He was having so much fun with this box we brought it home for him to do some more exploring with. He is at such a fun age, so curious about everything.






Panicking because i had no idea where Bridger was when I turned around to find him all of a sudden i heard something hit my chair I was sitting on. I looked under and this is what I saw. It was so cute he was just pushing his little car in and out of the legs of the chair.

Bridger's Blessing

We finally had the chance to bless Bridger. With leaving for the summer we decided to wait until we got back so alot of our family and friends could be there with us on this special day. We blessed him on November 2, 08 and it was the most wonderful day. We missed you guys that couldn't be there with us and here are a couple of pictures to show ya how cute Bridger looked in his little tux.

This is Bridger's cute little blessing outfit. I actually just took him in today to get pictures done of him in it. A big thanks to all of my sisters for buying this tux for Bridger it made this day just more special. Thanks so much, Love all you guys...

Pictures of Bridger

We finally got a picture of bridger to upload to the blog. There are a ton more that I would love to show you all but this will have to do. The best part about this picture is Bridger put his hands this way by himself. He is a little poser. We are excited because tomorrow we are going to bless Bridger. It will be a fun day with family and friends. Last weekend Heidi and I entered a tennis tournament and had a really good time. We only played two other couples but we won both of them. We were excited because Heidi's boss was in charge of the tournament so she got paid for playing in it and we won first place so we won 20 dollars to sizzler and 20 dollars to costa vida. I think it was a very good investment and we had a lot of fun.

Sorry about no pictures of Bridger

I have been pretty frustrated tonight because for some reason I can't load any pictures into my post. I have been trying for about an hour and everytime I pick the pictures and hit the upload it keeps saying cannot display the web page. So I am sorry but I will try tomorrow to put some pictures up because Bridger is a cute kid.

Back in Logan!

Wow sorry it has been so long since we have posted anything on here I am sure everyone is getting sick of the same thing on our blog. Well we are now back up in logan and it feels so good to be home. It has been really fun for us to go to new places each summer and work but it always is so nice to be back home here in Utah. I hope when I get a real Job it allows us to stay here close to friends and family. Heidi is back in school now with just a few more semesters to go and I am really proud of her. I think I would have given up but she is really dedicated to finish and I am trying to be supportive for her. I got kind of bored up here since I graduated last semester and I found that there really aren't any good jobs up here in logan that pay very so I am working for comcast now as customer support agent which is nice because I will be able to work from home so I can help watch Bridger while Heidi has her classes. The last week has been hard because I am in training right now and can't watch Bridger so we have had one of our neighbors watch him which has been really hard on Heidi. Things are going well though and we are enjoying life. Bridger gets more cute everyday and is so funny to watch. We went fishing last weekend up in Wyoming with my parents and we had a good time. I was excited because I caught a bigger fish than my dad which made it a good trip.

I AM NOT TO GOOD AT THIS SO BE PATIENT WITH ME.

Since Eric is out in Pittsburg for a while he asked me to post some pictures for him to see Bridger. Everytime I talk to you, you say how much you miss Bridger do you even miss me? So from your comment on the phone I posted just pictures of Bridger (well most of them). So, this is Bridger laying in his bed on the night you went to the Baseball game. (notice his pajamas eric) We wish we could have went with you!!! By the way I did alittle changing to the furniture in his room and the living room...don't be mad...By the way....I WON...you will know what that means when I take pictures of the house or you come home...


We got a bunch of toys from my sister and this one is a catepiller I think with measurements on the back. So it went up to 24 inches so he is taller then that at least. Not sure how tall he is.











Bridger is still kindof scared of this toy for some reason. This is the one that is shown above. But, he loves the books and the saucer my sister gave to us. We stayed at her house a couple nights ago and he only had two toys. So being my sister she went up to her little boys room that is five months older then Bridger and got two bag full of toys cause she felt so bad for Bridger not having very many toys.

Eric, remember this face? He is pulling it so much more then he used to. I don't know if it is cause he gets such a good response out of everyone when he does it or if it is because he misses his daddy (as Miriam said). This is Sean Smith holding him and getting him to pull it and then laughing at him (or with him as he says). But, I am finally getting him into a schedule again. This poor little guy has had some hard weeks. All the traveling we have done. He wasn't sleeping very well or napping at all. But, last two days he has been doing well during the day, we still have some progress to make for the night, any suggestions would be great!

Phil Vasser concert and FIREWORKS!!!

I had a pretty cool night last night. We went to the pittsburgh pirates baseball game which wasn't very good because they lost 7-4 but after was amazing. Phil Vasser who is a country singer for those that don't know, came and put on a concert on the field as well as a fireworks show. He was so entertaining but the fireworks actually stole the show. It was better than every 4th of july I have ever seen put together. He would sing a song and then they would do a five minute fireworks show between every song. It wasn't just a few fireworks either it was a grand finale everytime. The skyline of pittsburgh was right behind the fireworks so they were reflecting off the building and they even had fireworks shooting off the roof of one of the office buildings. I know my explanation isn't doing it justice i just wish you all could have seen it because it was the most amazing show I have ever seen. I am kind of sad though because now I am going to compare every fireworks show I see for the rest of my life to the show they had in pittsburgh. I was sad I couldn't share it with Heidi but It was fun telling her about my night over the phone.

Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Well I made it out here to pittsburgh on thursday and it has gone great. The weather here is beautiful and the area has been great so far. We actually have been selling in ohio in this ghetto little town called youngstown that has a ton of crime in it. I had to leave Heidi and Bridger back in utah which isn't very fun but i am trying to make the best of it and work hard while I am out here. I will have Heidi put some pictures up of Bridger and update on what she has been up to.

Memories

I saw a bunch of other people had on their blog to leave a comment of a memory that we had together. And most of you that know me know that I love to bring up old stories and laugh about them over and over again so I thought that would be fun. I don't have the official one like everyone else but I think it will get the same point across.

We are coming home!!!

Yes the title is correct we are coming home at the end of the month. The office down here is going to be closing at the end of july. I wish I could say that I was actually done selling for the summer but I will be flying to a different office to finish out the rest of the summer. Heidi is getting excited because we get to go back home but we have people renting out our trailer so she will be homeless for a few weeks. I am sure she will have fun hopping around visiting everybody. well that is the update for the week.

New update

Our team won an incentive against another office so we got to go to a diamond backs baseball game. we had a great time but the game didn't last long enough because we had to go out and work after the game. Our whole team was cheering for the other team so that it would go into extra innings but the diamond backs won in 81/2 innings. It was a very nice break though.
Don't worry about bridger sitting in a purple bumbo he is just borrowing it from one of his friends. Not that there is anything wrong with a guy liking the color purple. He was loving this chair and just looks so relaxed. He is so much fun now and is starting a get his own little personality.

We got the chance to go to St. George for a couple of days to see my family and we also got to meet up with some friends from Logan. This picture is from the Grand Canyon, we stopped here on our trip back to phoenix .

This was the first time we went swimming. Mom and Dad Miller were down visiting us and we decided to see if Bridger liked swimming.He wasn't the biggest fan of the floating but he loved being held in the water by Grandpa. They chose a great week to come down and visit. Not only was Eric missing his mom, but Bridger picked up his first toy. This is such a great picture showing how Grandpa Miller is with Bridger. Bridger loved being with his grandparents cause they never set him down, they played with him all the time.



This was Bridger's, first time going to the Zoo. He lasted about ten minutes watching the kids we went with. As soon as I put him in his stroller to see the animals he was asleep and slept the rest of the zoo trip.

This is Bridger's sad face. As soon as we stop talking to him he pulls this face and we either start talking and he smiles or he starts to cry. He just loves attention and is starting to giggle a bit.

Surviving the Heat!

It seems like everytime I get a chance to write on the blog I look at the date of the last time I wrote anything and it has been at least a month. I can't believe how fast time flies. I am already half way through the summer and I am still alive although there were a few days out working that I didn't know If I was going to make it. For 12 days straight it was over 110 degrees with the hottest day topping out at 118 degrees which was obviously a saturday when I am out selling from 10 in the morning until 9 at night. Every day we would watch the news and there would be extreme heat warnings and they would tell us to stay inside, but me being the smart person was outside knocking doors all day long. I would ask for a drink of water almost every other door and I made it through it. The selling is going a lot better now and I am consistently selling at least one a day. Heidi is still enjoying her job as the office manager and isn't as busy as she thought she would be because we only have about 15 sales reps left in the office. Bridger is doing great and growing fast. He is finally starting to play with toys and absolutely loves attention from anyone at anytime. We are having a hard time getting him on a sleeping schedule but hopefully that will get better. Sorry this is short but Heidi is kicking me off so she can get her job done.

New Background!

Due to recent complaints about the black background of my blog and my concern for the safety of individuals eyes I have decided to changed the background. I hope this is better for you? I also had a complaint about not enough details of what has been going on. So I will try and be better about details. It has been an interesting few weeks so far down here. Our apartments are really nice. There are swimming pools and waterfalls and palm trees everywhere. We have a sand volleyball pit that we use all the time and barbeques set up with pavillions all around. So as you can see we are having some fun down here. The work is a different story, I am trying to learn how to sell this new product and it is taking me longer to learn it than I thought it would. I have sold a couple but it is definately different than selling dish. It is getting better though. Heidi is enjoying her job as well. It has been great for her because she can watch bridger and do her job at the same time. She does the paperwork in the mornings and then she just keeps her phone with her and does the scheduling of the jobs when they come in. I have to go out and sell now so I will keep this short. Sorry for no pictures right now I can't put them on this computer but I will get some up shortly. Bridger is doing great and growing like a weed. We miss you all.
